It's almost that delightful time of year again. I can't decide if I want it to be term already or if I want to go back to the beginning of the summer. Guess I have no choice in the matter.

Mother is angry at me,what for you may ask? She's angry because I've grown...I jest not. Rather than being proud that I am 'blossoming nicely' as my grandmother put it, she is complaining that it means I require a whole new school wardrobe. I don't pretend to understand the way women work, my mother is no exception.

Anyone got any last minute shopping to do? If so I may see you around in Diagon Alley. Out of curiosity what subjects are you lot planning on taking, I'm curious to see who my classmates are going to be.

Would this not require shopping?

Then why would she upset? I was under the impression most mothers enjoyed shopping with their children.

Maybe she's bizarre. Or he could be a total monster to shop with. Mum won't take me to buy shoes any more because I always made shoe shopping so miserable as a kid.

What do you do that's so miserable?

I expect I just whined a lot and then one time I tried to run away back home only I was still wearing the shoes that we hadn't bought yet and the cashier bloke got sort of angry.

I don't expect your mother thinks so.

Don't much care, she's obligated to feed me anyway.

You're still breast fed? Isn't that a little extreme?

...are you serious? Because if you're serious you're pretty much the weirdest bloke I've ever met.

I didn't say you WERE, I just said it was a possibility! I'm sure you're a perfect dream in the shops. There, happy?

One would think, but oh no, there's a whole other issue. She's angry because father always insists on me having new things when I don't need them, and she enjoys putting her foot down and giving him a a lecture of frivolous uses of money and how he's a perfect example of a spoilt child, and now she can't because I really do need new robes, and he's smug that he was right.

No, I don't get it either.

So it's simply that she wants to be right? I hope you didn't get her stubborness.

Watch it mini Potter, if you had my grandmother you'd not find it so amusing. She's never gotten over not having a grand daughter!

I really don't think "blossoming" is a good way to describe a boy's growth.

Oh yes, the very pink of masculinity, my friend. What's all this to-do about Lydia's Quidditch get together? Seems everyone's going.

Watch it ;)

Yeah, I'm going to be showing my face, can't miss an opportunity to have a gander at the Wood household pitch. You thinking of putting in an appearance? If you're not then you jolly well should be!
